By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not use the Site.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information we collect automatically, and information we receive from third parties.

  • Information you provide: account and contact details (name, email, company or organization, job title, password); subscription sign-up details (the email you use for app and newsletter sign-ups); billing information (billing name and address) when you buy a paid subscription, with payment card details collected and processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, and not stored by us; and communications you send us.
  • Information we collect automatically: usage data; device and connection data such as IP address, browser, device, operating system, and referring URLs; and cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
  • Information from third parties: from service providers that help us operate the Site, and from partners or publicly available sources used to keep records accurate or to provide the regulatory data within our service.

3. PERSONAL INFORMATION IN OUR SERVICES

Our service monitors local government activity, which can include personal information about public officials and other individuals, drawn from publicly available sources such as government websites, public records, public meetings, and public social media accounts. We use this information only as needed to provide regulatory monitoring and research to our customers. If your information appears in our service and you wish to update it or ask us not to process it, contact us at info@strisker.com.

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to provide and maintain the Site; create and manage your account; process payments and subscriptions; send the recurring newsletters, product updates, and service messages you signed up for; respond to your requests; understand and improve how the Site is used; detect and prevent fraud and security issues; comply with legal obligations; and send marketing where permitted, which you can opt out of at any time.

5. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, operate the Site, and understand how it is used. This includes Google Analytics. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may not work properly without them.

6. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers and sub-processors that perform services on our behalf (cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, support, and security and compliance monitoring); professional advisors; for legal and safety reasons; and in a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. The sub-processors we use include Stripe (payment processing), Xano (application backend and data hosting), and Vanta (security and compliance monitoring), among others. A current and complete list is available in our Trust Center or on request at info@strisker.com.

7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The Site may link to third-party websites or services we do not operate. This Privacy Policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

8. DATA RETENTION

We keep account and subscription information while your account is active and for up to 12 months after you close it, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, accounting, or compliance reasons. Newsletter sign-up data is kept until you unsubscribe. Usage and log data is kept for up to 24 months. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

9. DATA SECURITY

We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs and is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

10. INTERNATIONAL VISITORS

The Site is hosted in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

11. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

You can review and update your account information by signing in, and you can unsubscribe from our newsletters and any other marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails. You may also ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting info@strisker.com, and we will respond as required by applicable law.

12. YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion; to correct inaccurate information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. In the past 12 months we have collected these categories: identifiers (name, email, IP address); commercial information (subscription and billing records); internet activity (usage, device, and cookie data); and professional information (job title, company). We collect this from you, your device, and publicly available sources, and use it to provide the service, bill you, communicate with you, secure the Site, and improve our products.
