- Conestoga Township, PA: Supervisors authorized the township solicitor to draft a first-ever short-term rental zoning ordinance at their September 1 meeting after operators Benuel Esh and Jordan Hostetter were ordered to cease operations pending formal rules.
- Alameda, CA: A proposed ordinance heading to City Council on September 15 would tie every listing to a primary residence with no annual cap on rental nights, require STR permits and business licenses, and give current operators 90-day amnesty.
