Solvang OKs first draft of short-term rental ordinance
The Solvang City Council unanimously advanced an updated short-term rental ordinance that would cap vacation rentals at 40, restrict them primarily to the Village Mixed-Use area, and bar them from accessory dwelling units. The amendments also introduce mandatory safety inspections, occupancy limits, neighbor notifications, stronger enforcement measures, and improved tax auditing.
